Scratched record...Kanaha...5.2...gusty cross-on wind...big messy swell (up to mast high). By no means wavesailing "perfection" but I had a really good session nevertheless. Scored loads of waves. Tight snappy turns were the order of the day in the onshore conditions which is where my RRD excels. I did some experimenting with weighting my back foot more on the second half of the bottom turn with some success - really helped with getting vertical. It got very busy in the afternoon but it was good fun sailing with everyone else out there obviously enjoying the conditions and several pros joining in. I had an amusing moment sharing a wave with Dan Ellis and it was great to watch Kevin Pritchard sailing at close quarters.

My right foot is starting to give me grief after a stuck-in-the-footstraps episode when going over the falls yesterday. Really hope it is ok for tomorrow...might have to go easy in Jacques tonight...
